Twin Peaks Challenge: The Alps to Pyrenees – 300 Miles

The “Twin Peaks Challenge” begins with the legendary alpine climb to the peak of Mont Ventoux and finishes 3 days and 300 miles later with the Ax Bonascre ascent in the Pyrenees.

The Gravity Fundraisers aim to raise enough funds to send a minimum of twenty physically disabled people from the West Leicestershire area on a four-day, adventure of a lifetime. They will be taken on board one of the Jubilee Sailing Trust tall ships for a four-day sail somewhere around the British coast. This can happen because of the JST boats have been specially adapted to accommodate physically disabled people as well as able bodied people. The total raised was £60000

The JST is a registered charity that owns and operates Lord Nelson and Tenacious, the only two tall ships in the world designed and built to enable people of all physically abilities to sail side-by-side as equals.

Participating Riders:  Andy Bray, Chris Foxton, Andy Cowlam, Andy Friend, Andy Usher, Anthony Kerr, Ged Orford, Harry Roberts, John Mcnally, Keith Wheatcroft, Neil Fletcher, Paul Williams, Phil Meechin
