Hinckley RFC to Tuilagi Park – 100 Miles

This Ride aptly named the Mad Dog 100 Ride Against Cancer in Aid of the Leicester Royal Infirmary Oncology Unit, started early morning at the Hinckley RFC before making its way through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside taking in Earl Shilton, the Braunstone Estate, Beaumont Leys, Mow acre Hill, Belgrave and then Syston before entering the concrete jungle of Northeast Leicestershire. The first Pit Stop was at Brooksby College and Granby to refuel before sidestepping Newark on the way through to Tuilagi Laird Park. Here we all joined Freddie Tuilagi at the opening of his inaugural Rugby festival where we camped for the night. Some of those who survived the night, mounted their bikes, and rode all the way back the next day.

A big shout out to Paul “Mad Dog” Williams who amid his own fight against cancer, boarded his bike to complete the Ride. What a inspiration to all of us.
